VictimsFirst Assists On Madonna Concert in Miami to Recognize Pulse Survivors

On April 9, 2024, legendary singer/performer Madonna invited Pulse families of the deceased and those who survived to her Miami “Celebration Tour” concert at the Kaseya Center. VictimsFirst worked behind the scenes to help Madonna’s team to make sure that those attending were, indeed, survivors of Pulse.

We also asked Madonna to do some special shout-outs to survivors attending and share their stories so those fighting for justice while struggling with PTSD and other physical issues would receive the recognition they so richly deserve.

Madonna did that and more in a moving and powerful speech, which honored the survivors with respect and dignity.

She spoke from her heart and, at one point, choked back tears as she spoke about the Pulse shooting.

We appreciate her and her entire team for their compassion and care for the 49 lives taken, the 53 injured, and those who survived the shooting on June 12, 2016, in Orlando, Florida.

VictimsFirst helps create experiences like these for victims/survivors of mass violence through our Make New Memories program. If you would like to donate or create an experience, please contact us at contact@victimsfirst.org.
